Developed and curated by a collective of practitioners from within the arts ecosystem, Particolare is an immersive and performative exhibition that explores innovative ways of presenting and engaging with art. The show invites visitors to experience the intersection of time and movement through a carefully selected collection of contemporary artworks. From the kinetic sculptures of Žilvinas Kempinas to the temporal meditations of Saâdane Afif and Alicja Kwade, the exhibition challenges our understanding of time and space in the most unexpected ways. With works that range from digital counters by Tatsuo Miyajima to Rashid Al Khalifa's intricate labyrinthine sculptures, Particolare offers a dynamic and immersive journey through temporality. Es geht um Schmuck besonderer Art: Jede Künstlerin spürt in ihren Werken einem Thema oder einer Geschichte nach und verdichtet sie durch das verwendete Material, die Formen und auch die gewählten Techniken. Was diese Künstlerinnen alle verbindet, ist ein Ort: Kairo – in dieser Stadt haben sie sich getroffen, gemeinsam gelernt, gearbeitet und unterrichtet. The interplay between words and visually perceptible object configurations is a recurring theme in Alexander Viscio’s conceptual art. His constructions assume diverse forms throughout his oeuvre, initially connecting closely with the body, then evolving into installations that transcend the body and become objects, ultimately transforming words into spatial elements. In his latest work, Roulette Wheel, Viscio’s body once again becomes an integral part of the performance. The sculpture represents a Manhole cover that serves as a Roulette wheel where Alexander Viscio attempts to get the ball into its center from underneath, creating a dynamic interaction between body and object.
