Exploring the Boundaries of Perception!

Calling all visionary artists and animators to join our open call and unleash your creativity.

This year, we delve deep into the fascinating realms of digital art, technology, and human experience. In a world increasingly shaped by the merging of digital and physical realities, we stand on the brink of a profound paradigm shift. "Post-Digital Reality" challenges us to reconsider our understanding of perception, reality, and the essence of being human.
"Post-Digital Reality" invites us to embark on a journey into uncharted territories. It is a space where the boundaries of the known world are expanded, where perception becomes a canvas for innovation, and where human experience is both creator and creation. Here, artists serve as pioneers, charting a course through unexplored dimensions of existence. It is a call to open our minds to the boundless possibilities that "Post-Digital Reality" offers, where the boundaries of perception are not constraints but gateways to enlightenment.

Exploring the Boundaries of Perception

]ON[ SCREEN - an international digital video art streaming festival is pleased to announce the theme of its next edition:

Post-Digital Reality | Exploring the Boundaries of Perception.
At the heart of this thematic concept lies the notion of boundaries and how they gradually dissolve. Artists expand the boundaries of perception, questioning preconceived notions of space, time, and identity. Here, the digital world seamlessly merges with the physical, offering us a glimpse into a realm beyond the limitations of our senses.
Perception, this complex interplay of our senses and our understanding of the world, is undergoing profound change. As digital artists craft immersive experiences, they invite us to question the limits of our sensory perception. Our senses are recalibrated, allowing us to see, hear, and feel in unprecedented ways, thus expanding the boundaries of human perception.
Reality itself has become fluid, shaped by the dynamic interaction between human creativity and emerging technologies. "Post-Digital Reality" invites us to explore this fluidity, where the distinction between reality and virtuality is no longer clearly defined. Here, we encounter holographic landscapes, explore simulated worlds, and interact with art that transcends traditional media.

In this evolving environment, our understanding of identity is subject to constant change. As we delve into the world of digital art, we pose questions about individual and collective identity. At the heart of our exploration of "Post-Digital Reality" lie profound questions of identity. In an era where digital connectivity is the norm, we invite you to ponder the true nature of the "self."

How do we define ourselves in a world where avatars, artificial intelligence, and virtual personalities coexist alongside our physical existence? It is a journey that delves deep into the fabric of our individual and collective identities, prompting us to redefine what it means to be 'human' in a world where the boundaries between self and technology blur.
At "ON SCREEN," we celebrate the fusion of art and technology, where creativity knows no bounds. Our festival bears witness to the unlimited potential of the human imagination, granting you a glimpse into the exciting and ever-changing landscapes of digital art.
As we explore "Post-Digital Reality," we invite you to engage with thought-provoking artworks that challenge, inspire, and redefine our understanding of art and existence. Join us on this immersive journey, where the boundaries of perception blur and the digital canvas becomes a gateway to new dimensions.

Submission deadline: May 31, 2024.

We look forward to receiving your works that explore the multiverse and the future of humanity in the digital age.
